The End of Wicked Crud

Alas, I must officially announce the end of my "high school confession" blog, Wicked Crud.  This blog will remain up as a sort of album for me to look back on.

But with every end...
...comes a new beginning!  Behold!
A new blog featuring college confessions!
Have patience if you decide to subscribe; the design is still a work in the making.
Also, I still do not possess my own quality camera.
I am still pondering whether or not I should post cell phone pictures.

But for right now, I've got some pictures from people I know, like family and my RA (resident assistant - coming up soon)!  Any images that I post that are not mine will be named/sourced.  I would hate to miss giving credit where credit is due.
The theme may or may not change with the upcoming Winter season!  Hopefully, I can post more often on this blog!

Undeclared Hiatus

I am so terribly sorry to have taken a break without saying so!
But since high school ended in June, I no longer have a quality camera to document happenings in my life anymore.  So sad.  I have no idea when I'll be able to obtain a quality camera, as I am rather terrible with saving money, but if I ever do, I'll be sure to update more often.
If you're interested in staying in contact, please feel free to follow me on Tumblr, follow me on Pinterest, follow me on Instagram (@L_Einahpets), befriend me on Roliana, etc.!  I will follow/message back!  All of my other website links are in the right-hand margin! --->

Right now, I'm in college, attending Whitworth University, and I am kept rather busy!  Right now, I should be finishing off the last of my homework, but here I am on Blogger instead!  I have a short reading to do for English, French homework or devoirs where I am supposed to describe a celebrity for my camarade de classe guess who I'm describing, and then a Calculus assignment that's not due until Tuesday.  I have French tutoring at 8pm (about thirty minutes from now), so perhaps I can make my tutor help me with my devoirs!  I didn't plan the time; the teacher did.

So I've been thinking about majors and minors lately, and I'm thinking about double-majoring in English and French, and then minoring in Philosophy.  We'll see!  Right now, I'm only taking classes to complete graduation requirements.  My Writing I and French 101 classes would not, unfortunately, count towards any majors.  But perhaps next semester or next year, I will change that!  I will definitely be taking Intro to Philosophy next semester!  And then I have to take a blasted science class.  Bleh.  I'm taking a piano class this semester though, and I'm really enjoying it!  I've never had formal lessons before though, and have only learned to play by ear.  But I think I'm improving, and I'm allowed to occupy a practice room in the music building until midnight on school nights!
We, here at Whitworth, also have a term called January Term (shortened often to Jan-Term or J-Term).  That's just the month of January being a semseter term all by itself.  Any classes you take during Jan-Term are four-month semester curriculums crammed into a singular month!  You're only allowed to take one or two classes during that time.  So I think I will take my science class then.

Well, I need to head off!  Ta ta for now.

Graduating Class of 2012 (cont)!!!

Fortunately, my Aunt Anna and Uncle David had taken pictures of me at my graduation, and were able to email it to me!!  So now, let me share them with all of you.
Trying to look for my family!

It was relatively windy, so I was trying to comb out my tassel while simultaneously keeping it out of my face!

Valedictorian, Lorenzo Gonzalez, with his speech about the comparison of humans and chickens, and death. It was a hilariously witty speech, and very unique and memorable.  This guy is going to be attending Stanford University this Fall, to become a bio-medical researcher, last I heard.  I hope he becomes an engineer, so that I can always refer to him as the Ging-ineer (ginger/engineer)!

Another valedictorian, Sarah Marble, giving her speech about relationships in high school.  It was very sweet, and I found it most applicable to my life, as I  had recently broken up with my now ex-boyfriend.
Sarah Marble is dating Lorenzo, haha, and she really has this thing about legitimate scientists in lab coats.  She's pretty excited for Lorenzo's career choice!

Valedictorian, Haley Estes, giving her speech on how busy and difficult high school has been for many of us, and how she had the support of her dance teacher (also my dance teacher!), her family, and her friends!

Class-elected speaker, Julie Bürner, gave her speech referencing many classmates about a dream she had involving Batman and running around!

There was another speaker, a staff-elected student speaker, named Evan Hill, and his speech was a reflection on high school events and memories.  I wish I had a photo of that!

A rainy thunderstorm was predicted for our graduation day, but the skies were blue and clear just above us, and the clouds were surrounding Sequim!

Allison Littledog receiving the U-Turn Award from Sequim High School's principal, Mr. Langston!  I truly believe Allison deserves this award.  Mr. Langston's award speech was vague on her struggles, and even I don't truly know what all she has been through, but I do know that our freshman year, she had a baby boy and before his first birthday, he had died of heart complications.  I cannot imagine how difficult it has been for her, being a friendly acquaintance of hers since 2001 when I first moved here.  I almost teared up just thinking and trying to imagine how tough it has been for her.  Allison, however, has a made a complete U-Turn and worked hard in earning enough credits to walk and graduate with our class, and I'm so proud of her♥

Our superintendent, Mr. Bentley, giving his speech (he's also retiring this year) about what a unique class we are!

Our graduation ceremony backdrop!  It's a field of white dandelions blowing in the wind!

Standing to have our names announced before we shake hands with staff and receive our empty diploma folders.

"Thank you so much!"  What a lucky shot!  My Aunt Anna got a picture of me thanking my Den advisor, Mr. Brown, for these past four years.  Den teachers are assigned to a group of students within a class, and they stay with them throughout high school and help make sure the students stay on track to graduate.

My daddy and I!!

My mother and I!

My walking partner, Gracie Brown, and I!

My little sister Anna, my walking partner Gracie, me, and my mother!

My father, my mother, my little sister Anna, me, my adopted grandmother Elizabeth, and my older brother Christopher!

If we were a reality television show, this would be our publication photo.  HAHAHA!

My mother, my little sister anna, me, my adopted grandmother Elizabeth, my Aunt Anna in the red coat, and my older brother Chris!
Haha, I love unready photos.  My father, my mother, my Aunt Anna (on my dad's side), my little sister Anna, me, and my grandmother Elizabeth!

Graduating Class of 2012!!

Sequim High School's graduation ceremony was held on Friday, June 8, in the football stadium!  (It's not really a stadium, but the staff and administrators keep calling it that!)
Here I am with my walking partner, Gracie Brown, a dear friend of mine since 2006♥
You can see that I am wearing my late grandmother's necklace from the 1950's, and I'm wearing a National Honor Society medal!
This is our first walk to our seats.
You can find more images of my graduation ceremony on the Miranda Wilson Photography Facebook page!

Before Friday, I never knew about the traditions of graduation announcements and presents!  My Aunt Anna and Uncle David gave me another necklace from my late grandmother (a lovely pearl confection), a box of dark chocolate truffles and chocolate-covered gummi bears from Amy's Decadent Chocolates, and money to purchase a new laptop computer and printer for college this coming Autumn!
My adopted grandmother, Elizabeth, gave me an Eddie Bauer flashlight/lantern and a new alarm clock!  I don't know how often the power goes out in Spokane, but that lantern will surely come in handy.  And I was hoping to get a new alarm clock too!  My orange kitty alarm clock got rain water leaked onto it, and I have to keep the third AA battery out or else the clock constantly croaks.
I'll be receiving gifts from a family friend and my royalty mom soon too!
My older brother told me he wants to help me pay for a car or a new camera as part of my graduation present.  To be honest, I'm leaning towards the new camera...  Hehe.

It was a fun and glorious day, and I wish my digital camera hadn't broken so that I could have taken more photos.  My Aunt Anna took some pictures of me though, and I haven't yet received them.  I hope to post more photos of my graduation ceremony soon!

First Day

Today was my first day of work operating the breakfast bar at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites!

I had to rise at 4:30 AM so I could get ready in time to leave by 6:00 AM to arrive at the Holiday Inn Express in time to clock in at 6:30 AM.  I wanted to get up early so I wouldn't have to rush or worry about being late my first day.
So, we served about 140 people today.  I cut my one ten-minute break short so our team (two other girls and I) wouldn't fall behind on the demands for breakfast.
I heard several accents and languages today!  It's so strange, thinking people from Russia and India come all the way to little old Sequim, Washington to visit and vacation.

I had a ton of fun today though, and my co-workers are great.
I work again tomorrow, and on Memorial Day.  Then I'm wanting to work the next weekend too, and use my paycheck on the fifth of June to go shopping for a graduation outfit after school in that week.  I really want a pair of killer wedges!

Then I graduate from high school on Friday, June 8 and I want to go to a senior-parent-sponsored graduation party where I get fifty bucks if I stay the whole night (which is until 4 AM)!  I payed twenty-five dollars for the ticket already.  And after June 8, I can work the weekdays too.
I really hope my graduation weekend will work out!

My Sorta New Glasses

I got these glasses quite a while ago now...
As in March 5th a while ago.

Anywho, here is a photo I took the first day I wore them to school!  I uploaded it to Instagram.
Here are what the side frames look like!
They're Saks Fifth Avenue RX1 frames.

Also!!
I have an interview at my local Holiday Inn Express for a breakfast bar position tomorrow!  It's during school, so I'm going to have to miss out on AP Government....  Which isn't a big deal, since I took the AP Government test yesterday and then the AP English Language test today...  BLEGH.
Anywho, I hope my interview goes well!  I hope I don't end up puking on the lady's shoes...  Ooh, I hope I didn't jynx myself just now...
